Used Book Sale (April 29th to May 1st)

-

Update 4-24-2024

We are excited to announce the upcoming Canyon Lister Elementary Used Book Sale, and we want to extend a final invitation for book donations before the event begins.

The Used Book Sale will be held throughout the week during lunchtime and Library Blocks, providing students with ample opportunities to explore and purchase books. Additionally, we are pleased to inform you that the sale will be open after school from Monday April 29th to Wednesday May 1st, between 2:30 PM and 3:15 PM.

This year, we are fortunate to have received generous donations from several local banks. As a result, every student will receive some money to spend at the sale, ensuring everyone gets to walk away with a new treasure. All proceeds from the sale will be reinvested into purchasing more books for the Canyon Lister Elementary Library, enriching our collection for the benefit of all students.

We encourage you to send your child with extra change or additional book donations throughout the week of the sale. Your contributions will help us put more books into the hands of more students.

Thank you for your continued support of Canyon Lister Elementary and our commitment to promoting reading. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer during the book sale, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

We are excited to announce that our school will be hosting a Used Book Sale from April 29th to May 1st. This event will be open during lunchtime and after school hours from Monday to Wednesday.

To make this event a success, we are calling for book donations throughout the month of April. We request books in good to very good condition. Your contributions will greatly benefit our school community.

We invite parent volunteers to assist with the organization and running of the book sale. If you are interested in lending a hand, please reach out to Mr. Mitchell at brendan.mitchell@sd8.bc.ca.

Donated books will either be included in the used book sale or purchased and added directly to the school library's collection allowing more students to benefit from being able to borrow the book. Funds generated from the sale will go towards the library budget, helping to purchase books or other learning resources for the Library Learning Commons.

Thank you for your support and participation in fostering a love for reading within our school!
