Ms. Milne’s Grade 1/2 class recently enjoyed a two-day classroom event called Camp Read-a-Lot, a fun-filled literacy experience designed to spark a love of reading and learning.

The classroom was transformed into a cozy camping adventure, complete with a forest backdrop, a tent, and a campfire set up right in the middle of the room. Students were fully immersed in the theme as they moved from station to station, taking part in a variety of engaging literacy activities.

From reading and storytelling to hands-on word work, each activity helped students build their literacy skills in an exciting and memorable way. Camp Read-a-Lot was a big success and made learning feel like a true adventure.
