National Day for Truth and Reconciliation at CLES

On September 29th, our CLES community came together to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. This important day gives us an opportunity to learn, reflect, and honour the survivors, families, and communities affected by the residential school system.
Through our school assembly, students learned about the history and significance of Orange Shirt Day and the message that Every Child Matters. We also reflected on the importance of reconciliation and the role each of us can play in building a community grounded in respect, understanding, and kindness.
It was a meaningful day of learning and reflection as we continue our journey toward reconciliation together.
