Our school year got off to a spirited start as CLES students and staff gathered for our annual House Team Sorting Ceremony! New students and staff had the exciting task of discovering which of our four Ktunaxa animal teams would become their school family for the year.

With the help of the famous “picking poncho,” Ms. King revealed each new student's House Team as one of:

• Qukin – Raven
• Kupi – Owl
• Nipku – Bear
• Skinquc – Coyote

House Teams give students and staff from across the grades a chance to connect, build friendships, show school spirit, and work together toward a common goal. Teams can earn points throughout the year by participating in House activities, showing spirit, and receiving GROW Cards for demonstrating our school values.

The competition is officially underway! We are looking forward to a year filled with teamwork, creativity, kindness, and plenty of House Team spirit.
