Students in Ms. Danforth's class have undertaken a month long inquiry into learning about Lunar New Year which takes place on Saturday February 10th this year. Lunar New Year marks the beginning of a new year based on the lunar calendar and is celebrated by many communities and cultures throughout the entire world.  There are many cultural traditions connected with Lunar New Year that vary throughout different parts of the world; students have been engaging in research projects to explore how different communities celebrate this annual holiday.  In addition, students are preparing costumes to go along with a Dragon Dance and Lion Dance that they will perform for CLES students on Feb 9th.
