Annual CLES Corn Roast Potluck

Thursday September 24th 5pm-6pm

Dear CLES Families,

We will hold our annual corn roast potluck dinner on Thursday September 24th from 5:00pm-6:00pm in the CLES back field.  Huge thank you to the Riehl Family for donating the corn this year!  The school will provide hotdogs, buns, and condiments; families are asked to bring additional potluck items according to their classroom as follows:

  • King and Adams: Desserts

  • Milne and Ziefflie: Salads

  • Danforth and French Immersion: Sides (ex. veggie plate, chips/dip, etc.)

*Please label all serving trays and serving spoons/tongs*

We are a UNESCO school that is committed to reducing our environmental impact whenever we can, therefore we ask families to please bring their own plate, cutlery and cup for each family member, plus a chair or blanket to sit on.  A rinse basin will be available for families to rinse their dishes before taking them home.

Can you help cook some corn?

We need families to volunteer to take corn home, cook it, and bring it to the potluck at 5pm. Corn would be sent home with your child (approx. 10 ears) and then brought fully cooked to the dinner. Please contact our school office if you are able to help us out at 250-428-4161, clerical.cle@sd8.bc.ca, or drop by to let us know. Thank you in advance!

A heartfelt thank you to all our families for helping to make this event a success each year!  We look forward to seeing everyone come together.

Sincerely,

CLES Staff
