Our Be the Change group has been conducting hot dog sales in February to raise money to support people affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Just under $1000 was raised with the first sale, with more raised at the end of the month. Hot dogs were purchased via donation.

Canyon-Lister held our French Immersion information session in early January to provide information for families who are interested in applying for a place in the Late French Immersion Grade 5/6/7 multi-age class for September 2023.

Spring is the time of transitions, and at Canyon-Lister Elementary all staff have been working together to make sure we provide transition opportunities for our students so that their experience is a smooth as possible. Events we have recently held:

"Creston students got their hands dirty and their heads full of knowledge thanks to an environmental education program recently.

Students in Brian Ewashen’s Grade 3-5 class at Canyon-Lister Elementary explored the forest ecosystem in the Creston Valley and took part in a collaborative restoration project that saw them plant 150 trees and shrubs!"
